8th Va 18th & 19th Miss
against about 4000
of the enemy. 661

prisoners, about 400
killed & wounded
[Battle of Ball's Bluff or Leesburg, Va. Forces
were about 1700 on each side. But in losses
the Federals had 49 killed, 148 wounded, and 714 missing,
many of whom drowned for 921 casualties. Confederates
lost 36 filled, 117 wounded, 2 missing for 155 casualties.
